News – February 2024
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new support project STEPS - Strengthening Social Inclusion, Empowerment and Participation in Schönefeld! From 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2026, we will offer targeted support for people who want more social connection, orientation and opportunities for active participation.
Whether it's job application assistance, exercise programmes, creative activities or individual counselling - STEPS creates space for encounters and personal development. Our aim is to support people in strengthening their own resources, developing new perspectives and expanding their social networks.

Creative work & self-efficacy
Designing something together, expressing yourself creatively and discovering new skills - that is the aim of our creative workshops. It's not about perfection, but about fun, expression and experiencing self-efficacy.
A fixed point of contact for support
All offers take place on the premises of the Solidarische Gesundheitszentrum Leipzig e. V. at Taubestraße 2 in Leipzig-Schönefeld. We are also expanding our network in the district and are regularly present in the neighbourhood with information and taster sessions.
Who is the project for?
Our services are aimed at anyone who is looking for support or new impetus - in particular
- People without work or with insecure employment
- People with a migration background
- Older people or people who feel isolated
- Residents of social housing and shared accommodation
- Adults with low literacy levels or people with language barriers
Together for a strong Schönefeld!
STEPS is not just a counselling service - it is a place of encounter, learning and personal growth. Our approach combines social integration with health promotion and focuses on sustainable change.
The project is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), by tax revenue on the basis of the budget approved by the members of the Saxon state parliament and by budget funds from the City of Leipzig.
