Federal Volunteer Service in Public Relations at the Polyclinic

As of 01.01.2026, we are advertising a position in the Federal Voluntary Service in the area of

public relations work.

The organisation

The Solidarische Gesundheitszentrum Leipzig e.V. is a district health centre in the

Leipzig district of Schönefeld. Our approach is to think health holistically and interdisciplinarily.

Your tasks

  • Organising, supervising and participating in information stands in the district (including preparing materials, logistics and approaching local residents)

  • Distributing information about our offers in the neighbourhood (e.g. notices, flyers, multipliers)

  • Social media including content planning. Maintaining our public presence (website, social media, print)

  • Writing and editing texts (posts, short messages, web texts, flyers)

  • Designing articles

  • Collaboration on campaigns (idea development, implementation, evaluation)

  • Participation in team, working group and collective meetings

  • Participation in the plenum every fortnight on Thursday evenings (6-8 pm)

We see the BFD as a low-paid voluntary position. The so-called monthly

pocket money of €250 paid out each month is exempt from deductions if you receive citizen's allowance. The conditions

as fair and transparent as possible.

We are looking for

  • You are over 18 years old, reliable, communicative and interested in neighbourhood work

  • An open-minded attitude towards a wide variety of people

  • Interest in grassroots democratic working methods (you are no stranger to consensus voting)

  • Experience in dealing with social media: you have already managed channels independently (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, possibly TikTok) and know the basics such as reels/stories, hashtags, insights/statistics

  • Confident writing and editing of clear, inclusive texts in German

  • Reliability and a conscientious way of working

Nice to have

- Basic knowledge of graphics/video (e.g. Canva)

- Experience with press work or photo documentation

- Willingness to occasionally work outside normal office hours (for information stands/events)

also see a BFD as a learning opportunity.
